Solar Tower

The Solar Tower in Sociópolis, Valencia, is born out of the same initial sketch-idea as the La Chapelle Tower, in an attempt to move social housing away from the anonymous recurrent iconographies, exploring the possibilities of a tower which dematerializes at its top multiplying exterior and interior spaces with their own identity.

The Norwegian Breakaway is the newest fleet member of the American shipping company Norwegian Cruise Line.

The cruise ship is constructed in respect to the innovative „Freestyle Cruising“ concept that ensures maximum individuality, freedom and flexibility on board to the passengers. The stylistically confident design of the over 2.000 cabins combined with a cozy equipment guarantee a relaxed journey with the Norwegian Breakaway for up to 4.000 passengers. 

New York is the home port of the Breakaway. From there she will be travelling to Bermudas in spring and summer. In winter she will be cruising on the Bahamas and in the Caribbean Sea.

The ship measures an overall length of 324m and is 39,7m wide, it has an engine capacity of 62.400kW. The ship cost US $840 million to build.
